Privacy Policy
Introduction
This policy aims to regulate the relationship between users of the “Lorry App” platform (customers and service providers) and the owner, in order to ensure a safe and transparent environment for transactions. By using or registering on the platform, you acknowledge that you have fully read and understood this policy, and you agree to comply with all its provisions and terms unconditionally. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please stop using the platform immediately.
First / Definitions
For the purposes of this policy, the following words and expressions shall have the meanings assigned to each of them, unless the context requires otherwise:
- “Platform”: Refers to the “Lorry App” application (Unified No. 7050019038), all its webpages, digital content, and technical services.
- “Owner” or “We”: The entity owning the platform and responsible for managing, operating, maintaining, and updating it.
- “User” or “Customer”: Any natural or legal person who uses the platform, browses it, or benefits from its services.
- “Service Provider”: Any individual or company that provides transport or delivery services through the platform.
- “Service”: Refers to the transport or delivery service requested and provided through the platform, including connecting the customer with the service provider.
- “Financial Consideration”: Refers to the amounts due to the service provider as a result of providing the service to the customer through the platform, in addition to any fees or commissions due to the platform.
Privacy Policy and Protection of Personal Data
The platform is committed to protecting the privacy of its users’ and service providers’ data, and operates in accordance with the provisions of the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (issued by Royal Decree No. M/148 dated 05/09/1443H) and its implementing regulations.
Collection of Information:
The platform may collect different types of personal data and other information, including but not limited to:
- Identification Data: Full name, national ID/Iqama number (for service providers), mobile number, and email, upon registration, communication, or service request.
- Payment and Financial Transaction Data: Credit/debit card details (encrypted and secured), transaction details, fees paid and due.
- Technical Data: IP address, device type, browser, approximate user location, unique device identifiers, and platform usage data (e.g., pages visited, session duration).
- Geolocation Data: Accurate geographical location of the user and the service provider (via GPS or network) while using the platform, for the purpose of providing services and tracking transport operations.
- Metadata: Order details, ratings, reviews, complaints, and correspondence between users, service providers, and the platform.
Use of Information:
The data collected is used only for lawful and necessary purposes to deliver and enhance the services provided by the platform, including:
- Providing and customizing the requested services (connecting customers with service providers, order tracking).
- Improving user experience and developing new services and features.
- Communicating with users and service providers when needed (notifications, technical support, updates).
- Processing payments and verifying financial transactions.
- Verifying the identity and eligibility of users and service providers.
- Analyzing behavioral and statistical data for marketing and performance improvement.
- Complying with applicable legal and regulatory requirements in Saudi Arabia.
- Resolving disputes and handling complaints.
- Protecting the rights and property of the platform, its users, service providers, and third parties.
Data Sharing:
User and service provider data is not shared with any external party, except in the following cases:
- To fulfill the service: Necessary data (such as name, mobile number, location, and order details) is shared between the customer and the service provider to complete the transport or delivery.
- With explicit consent: When the user agrees to share their data for specific purposes (e.g., marketing campaigns).
- In case of merger or acquisition: If the platform is sold or merged with another entity, user data may be transferred as part of the assets. Users will be notified accordingly.
Data Protection:
The platform takes necessary technical, organizational, and administrative measures to protect user data against breaches, unauthorized access, misuse, or unlawful alteration.
Approved information security standards in Saudi Arabia are applied, including encryption, physical and technical safeguards, to ensure confidentiality and integrity of data.
In the event of a personal data breach, the platform undertakes to notify the competent authorities and the affected data subjects immediately, in accordance with applicable laws.
Data Subject Rights:
Users and service providers retain their rights under the Personal Data Protection Law, including:
- Right of Access: To request and view their personal data.
- Right to Rectification: To request correction or updating of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: To withdraw consent for processing personal data at any time, provided that this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
- Right to Object: To object to the processing of their personal data in certain cases.
- Right to Erasure: To request deletion of their personal data in specific cases provided for by law.

Data Retention:
The platform retains users’ and service providers’ personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with legal/regulatory obligations (such as requirements of the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority or other regulators), or to resolve disputes. After this period, data is securely deleted or anonymized so that it can no longer be linked to any specific person.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction:
This policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Competent courts within Saudi Arabia shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from this policy or the use of the platform.
